How To Fix A Patchy Beard

One of the most disheartening things that can happen to a man is to spend all that time growing a beard, only to find out that it’s patchy!

Not to worry though, here at Groomarang we have some proven methods which help fix your patchy beard.

The first step is to let it grow; you must resist the urge to trim! Give it at least a month before you go at your beard, so you can see where the patchy stops are camping out in full force. Once a month has passed trim your cheek and jawline, and continue to let it grow; the longer your beard the more likely your bald spots will get lost underneath the rest of your beard.

Another proven method is to lead a healthy lifestyle! Research has proven the condition of your beard, correlates with your health. To keep your beard (and body) healthy you must eat well and exercise daily. This will in turn encourage testosterone production, which encourages hair growth throughout your whole body (including your beard), helping remove bald patches!

During your beard growth phase, you must keep it in good shape! You must encourage new hair growth and keep the hair follicles clean and healthy. To do this you can do the following:

  1. Use beard oil – This will help calm down the beard itchiness, whilst also keep the beard and skin underneath clean and moisturised.
  2. Use Beard Balm – this will help facial hair growth, ensure you run in thoroughly with your fingers throughout your whole beard, not just the patches!
  3. Brush your beard – Use a beard brush to brush it downwards, this will help cover patches and make sure it’s tidy!
