Why Does My Beard Itch?

Everyone with a beard has experienced 'beardruff' at one point or another. There are a number of reasons why you get an itchy beard, and we here at Groomarang will explain most of them!

Lack of Hygiene

You must wash your beard regularly with beard balm, this will help nourish and moisturise your beard hair and the skin beneath it! But always use warm water, not too hot otherwise you can damage and dry out your skin.

Dry and damaged hair and skin is the leading cause of beard itch. So always keep it clean and moisturised. This is the first line of defence!

Lack of Grooming

Not only must you wash your beard, but you have to take care of it after too! It's best to use a proper beard brush to give body to your beard, and help minimise the risk of ingrown hairs at the same time too. 

It also helps to clean your beard by clearing it of loose hairs, dirt and bacteria. If you use Groomarang Beard Oil it also helps to evenly distribute it across your whole beard!
